My name is Amy and I'm mum to two boys - James, 7, and Thomas, 4.

I discovered the Whizzer pretty early on - my first order was for the pre-order back in April 2021!!

My oldest had already potty trained by this time, but I was planning ahead for Thomas. With my oldest we had one of those travel pottys that came with the bags - it was much better than those large, lidded ones but felt so wasteful.

The Whizzer looked so much better! And it came in useful straight away. I remember one time exploring a new town and James doing the dreaded "I need a wee" and us having no idea about any public toilets. But we were able to find a discreet corner to use the Whizzer - crisis averted! I was absolutely dreading potty training 2nd time around - not sure why, but I just feel there's so much pressure to have them "trained" by a certain age etc.

James had an eye operation just before Thomas turned 3, so we thought we'd make the use of being at home for 4-5 days by trying to potty train Thomas (James was off school for a week) but that first day, he had 10 accidents.

Rather than struggle through, and stress everyone, we decided to wait. We still had the potty out and talked about it. And he often saw James using the Whizzer while out. We joked and talked about being "nappy free in 2023" and come 2nd January 2023, Thomas said he no longer wanted a nappy and that was it. We did still have some accidents, but it was definitely the right time for us and Thomas.

He clearly wanted to be nappy free so was much less stressful. So my big advice for anyone coming up to potty training is to start when you/your child is ready. Don't worry about age or what anyone else is doing.

Our Whizzer was especially handy on the school runs during the early days. So small that it fitted in my pocket (there were many a day that we used it in the corner of the playground!). The thing that I love about the Whizzer is that it doesn't make needing the toilet a big thing. Everyone needs to wee and when you need to go, you need to go. It's so discreet that, even if you're in the middle of somewhere busy and public, no one knows! There shouldn't be stress, worry or rushing around to find a toilet and the Whizzer is perfect for that. I definitely think having the Whizzer helped make potty training much less stressful 2nd time round as we knew we always had it if we needed it.

We now have two Whizzers - we still carry one in a backpack for days out or long walks etc and one lives in the car (so handy knowing exactly where it is if a quick pit stop is needed). The boys are getting bigger, so we're moving on to the larger sizes for the whole family now.
